Carol Deng, LCSW, SIFI
Carol Deng is a bilingual, bicultural psychotherapist with a deep commitment to helping young adults navigate life transitions, identity challenges, and the complexities of growing up between cultures. Her private practice was born from a simple yet powerful vision: to create a safe, culturally attuned space where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow.
After earning her undergraduate degree in Human Services and Psychology from the City University of New York and her Master of Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, Carol began working with diverse populations across NYC. Her own experience as a bilingual immigrant therapist deeply shapes her clinical work — she understands how layered identity can be, and how healing requires both nuance and compassion.
Carol’s approach to therapy is integrative and person-centered, blending evidence-based modalities such as CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic insights, Trauma-Informed care, and Motivational Interviewing. But beyond the methods, she believes the true power of therapy lies in the relationship — one where you're not just a “client,” but a whole person with a story worth understanding.
Whether you're dealing with anxiety, self-doubt, cross-cultural tension, or simply feeling stuck, Carol is here to help you reconnect with your voice, your strength, and your path forward.
