FAQs

  • What is therapy, and when might someone need it?

Therapy is a space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences with a trained professional — not just when something is “wrong,” but anytime you’re seeking deeper understanding, healing, or change. We all face challenges. And often, the same patterns show up in different parts of our lives, even when we can’t quite explain why.

While daily life tends to focus on managing surface-level stressors, therapy invites you to slow down and gently uncover the root of what’s going on. You don’t need to be in crisis to begin. It works best when someone feels ready to face those challenges and wants to make meaningful changes to improve their life experience.

  • Is everything we talk about confidential?

Confidentiality is one of the most important parts of therapy, because meaningful healing requires trust. Your privacy is deeply respected. What you share with your therapist will not be shared with anyone else without your permission — unless there is a risk of harm to yourself or others.

  • How can therapy help me?

Therapy is more than just talking — it’s a space to understand yourself, heal old wounds, and find new ways to move forward.

We all carry things from the past that can hold us back. In therapy, you’ll explore what’s been getting in the way and learn tools to help you grow, feel better, and live more freely.

  • Do you offer online or phone sessions?

Yes. We offer secure, HIPAA-compliant video and phone sessions. Virtual therapy is similar to in-person care, just more flexible and accessible — you can connect from wherever feels most comfortable.

  • How often will we meet?

Session frequency depends on the client’s needs and goals. Many people begin with weekly sessions to build consistency and ease into the process.

  • How long is each session?

    Intake sessions: 60 minutes

    Individual Therapy: 45 minutes / 60 minutes
